about
Eniyan Dudu (Boddhi Satva's Ancestral Soul Remix)
Eniyan Dudu (ay-knee-yon-doo-doo) (noun). Yoruba
‘Eniyan Dudu’ was written as a call to arms directed towards those of us both within and outside of the African Diaspora to man up and stand tall.
These words ring ever so true and hold significance for me now more than when I first sang them, given the times we live in require us to buckle up, persevere and be about it.
East Africa meets West on Boddhi Satva’s ancestral Soul reworking of the groove. For the remix, Boddhi flipped the original rhythm and brought it on home from its classical Afro, 6/8 syncopated swing to a dark and brooding deep house 4/4 groove.
Now everybody, MOVE

VINSON's debut EP is a smooth and immediately appealing mix of deep house, hip-hop, and R&B, clearly made with deep love for Detroit. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 10, 2020
